This page below is an attempt to summarize our mission, beliefs, and culture on a single page. If you’re trying to figure out what kind of church Family Life is, this page is a great start!
While we celebrate and honor diversity of thought, there are a few guiding beliefs that we are not willing to compromise on in this house. These are the bedrock truths on which all of our beliefs are built upon.
One God, One spirit, one way
While there are many ideologies, spirits, and ethics in this world, we believe that Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the Creator, the Author, and He sits on the highest throne. It is His one Spirit that dwells in us, unites us, and connects us to Him, and the only way to God is through His Son, Jesus. (see John 14:6, Ephesians 4:4-6).
Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and perfect word of God, penned by human authors filled with the Holy Spirit, and given to us as our instruction manual for how to live the life that God intended for us.
Salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life as a man, performed miracles, was crucified for the sin of mankind, buried, and by the power of the Holy Spirit was resurrected.
We believe that Hell is a bad place that was prepared for Satan. Jesus provided a way for people to be spared from Hell. We believe that no one is without sin, but through Jesus’ death and resurrection the price for all sin was paid. We believe that no one could ever earn their ticket to heaven. Salvation is a free gift from God received simply by faith in Jesus Christ.
Baptism
We believe that water baptism in Jesus name is a believer’s public acknowledgement of their faith in Him. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate occurrence from water baptism.
Holy Spirit
We Believe that the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit are available to us today and are given to anyone who believes. We aim to explore the wondrous mystery of God in a way that is authentic, biblically-based, and fruitful.
